Summer Card Camp 2 - Week 1 - Day 1

So the Summer Card Camp by Online Card Classes is now in session. On Monday, the colour combo for Week 1 was revealed along with three reference sketches.

Here is the card I created, inspired by Jennifer McGuire's banner flap design card from Day 1.

On my computer screen one of the colours from the combo read as a very fine line between an olive green vs. a mustard yellow. I embraced the subtle olive tone and found some fun buttons from my stash that I thought went well with the pattern papers I had picked out.

I've got a few other ideas noted down based on the sketches and the other cards shared. Hoping to have more time this week to try some things out. So happy to have found this class!
